The United Tamil Catholics is a community of dedicated Tamil Catholic families living
in NJ/NY/PA/DE area. The main objective of this community is to help Tamil Catholic
families to grow in catholic spiritual life and celebrate Tamil mass every month.
United Tamil Catholics is guided by
Tamil Priests from Dioceses of New Jersey, New York and Delaware States.
This organization is also guided by
Multi-Cultural Ministries of Metuchen Diocese and coordinated by Indian Apostolate
of Metuchen Diocese.
Our Principles
Unity – As the name states our main principle is to unite Tamil
Catholics – we believe together we can accomplish far more than any of us could
individually. So we stick together, we support one another as a Tamil Catholic.
That doesn’t mean that we always agree or that there is never a difference of opinion.
It does mean that as a UTC-ian you can count on the support and encouragement of
your friend as we work to make life better by helping Tamil Catholic Community to
grow spiritually.
Faith – Our faith is our foundation. We help to promote faith
by organizing mass in Tamil every first Sunday of the month. We encourage retreats
and community prayer services. This way, we help support our church and strengthen
our personal faith.
Family – Our goal is to bring all the Tamil catholics in the NJ/NY/PA/DE
area under one roof as one big family. Each individual is treated with great respect.
Our gatherings are organized by a group of families. We encourage every family’s
participation by giving opportunity to individual family to organize these events.
Every family’s efforts are recognized. We recognize the importance of helping our
children become tomorrow’s leaders. We
focus on building strong foundation in our Youth by encouraging activities that
enhance and enrich our heritage.
